Randy S. Galgas, CPA

B.A. Business Economics, University of California Santa Barbara. With over 21 years of public accounting experience within the firm, Randy is the partner in charge of Information and Technology (IT). He created and directs the consulting department which provides technology assessments, accounting system integration and system security consulting to clients, and recently initiated and implemented Perry Hay and Chu’s conversion to a paperless office system. Randy is also the trusted accountant and business tax advisor for many closely-held businesses in diverse industries, including professional services, US and foreign manufacturing and distribution, retail and aviation.
Randy is a professional who takes an active role in learning the intricacies of each of his client’s businesses. He is continually keeping an eye on cutting edge technologies within the industries to have a better view of where a client’s business is moving, enabling him to offer the best service possible. With his in-depth knowledge, Randy has successfully helped several of his clients grow from small start-up companies to industry leaders, domestic and multinational, and has saved clients considerable amounts of money using specialized tax strategies that are unique to the client’s business.
In addition, Randy has developed a number of professional relationships with financial and legal experts who are excellent resources for any additional needs a client may have.
Randy was honored in 2002 by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as one of the Top 25 CPA’s in the Greater San Fernando Valley. He was also past Co-chair of the CalCPA Los Angeles chapter’s Technology Discussion Group, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a very active member of the California Society Technical Users Group.

Ray merged his practice with Perry Hay & Chu LLP in 2004 as a client
service partner responsible for accounting and auditing, income tax
planning and compliance, and management advisory services.
With over 23 years experience in public accounting, Ray is licensed
to practice public accounting in several states including

Maryland
. Ray is a trusted business
advisor for many closely-held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Ray regularly consults clients in starting businesses, growing an
already successful business, or buying or selling businesses.
Ray also works with businesses that are undergoing ownership,
management or other organizational transitions. Industries include:
entertainment, health clubs, real estate, government contracting,
professional services, manufacturing, distribution, biotechnology, medical
staff associations, not-for-profit, and ERISA audits.
Ray authored and presented “Common Errors Found on Financial
Statements” to local chapters of the California Society of Certified
Public Accountants and the CFO Forum, a local chapter of Financial
Executives of America. Ray was
one-of-fifteen CPA’s appointed to the Report Quality Monitoring
Committee (RQMC) of the California Board of Accountancy.
RQMC inspected financial statements submitted by California CPA
licensees, communicated deficiencies noted and required licensee to
complete continuing professional education courses as needed.
Ray is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Certified Public
Accountants. Ray is Certified
in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA.
The CFF encompasses fundamental and specialized forensic accounting
skills that CPA practitioners apply in a variety of service areas,
including but not limited to: bankruptcy and insolvency; computer
forensics; economic damages; family law; fraud investigations; litigation
support; stakeholder disputes and valuations.

Mark H Weber
|
|
B.S., California State Unitversity, Los Angeles; MS - Taxation, Gold Gate University. Mark has practiced in public accounting for over 16 years, including extensive experience in real estate syndication, real estate development and management. Mark was named partner in charge of tax services this year, one year after joining our firm. Over the years, Mark has consulted with many high-net worth individuals on structuring real estate transactions in various tax efficient methods including, exchanges, installment sales, and REIT transactions. He also has a wide base of experience in multi-state taxation, manufacturing, entertainment and post production, professional athletes, retail, and professional services. His client focus is on tax planning, compliance and transactional work for the high net-worth individuals and their closely-held businesses. Mark also works a great deal on estate and succession planning for several of his clients.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mark spent eight years with Century Business Services, Inc. (CBZ), a national CPA firm with over 5,000 employees practicing in a wide array of business services. During his time with CBZ, Mark consulted on several mergers and acquisitions, as well as the income and estate planning issues that arose from those transactions. Mark earned his Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University and received the Outstanding Graduate in Masters of Science in Taxation for Southern California upon graduation. Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
